Cynthia Brumfield

Cynthia Brumfield, M.D. is currently a Professor of OB/GYN in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also currently serving as Medical Director and Quality Director of the Postpartum and Antepartum Units at University Hospital.

Cynthia teaches the Operative Vaginal Delivery Courses in the Department of OB/GYN and has had a long career teaching proper use of forceps and vacuum instruments and the prevention of third and fourth degree tears during vaginal or operative vaginal delivery.

Cynthia is happy to be a volunteer at SOLACE and use her medical knowledge and connections to increase awareness and support for women who have experienced childbirth injuries.
